It is ok but a little overpriced for the service offered. It is like Ryanair, expect to pay extra for each little additional service (parking, scrambled egg for breakfast, “complimentary” water, kurtax). However, the people working there are very nice. Its probably just the owners fault why the hotel is just average. Here some further offs: floors look old, special request was confirmed but only done after asking again, TV is pointing to the wall not the bed, room was quite cold (but it also was very cold outside), tea & water and bath utilities only available after request.
Simply a nice, small hotel in the heart of Baden-Baden, I have been there a couple of times and I was always satisfied. The park situation is a bit difficult, but the ladies at the reception take care of it, they relocate some of the cars in the garage to fit in another car, really nice. The service is friendly and helpful.

Thank you very much for taking your time to write this review.
We are always seeking to keep our prices as reasonable as possible and offer our guests the best possible value for money.
So our parking spaces in the center of Baden-Baden, where the parking possibilities are very limited, cost just 9,- Euro / night (or 4,50 Euro / night at direct booking).
The big bottle of water in our room is complimentary, if you book direct through our own booking system on our homepage and not through online reservation systems where the hotels have to pay a commission for every booking between 13% and 18% of the room rate.
It is also very easy over our booking system just to click and to tell us all your wishes before your stay. Than you will find free amenities like an iPod-docking-station, bathrobes, slippers or a water kettle for tea and coffee in our room at your arrival.
At our hotel MERKUR you get all this and also the wifi-connection, the use of our internet-office and the SKY-Hotel-TV-channels free of charge for the price of a 3-star-hotel.
We take always care of our hotel and so we have new painted our rooms and also all the floors at the end of January 2012.
We would be happy to be able to welcome you again as our guest and if you tell us your wishes before, everything will be prepared to your satisfaction and we will make your stay as comfortable as possible.
