Sol Pelicanos/Ocas Hotel

Stunning hotel. Very clean and well maintained. Large swimming pool with some nice features added in. Within walking distance of shopping centre, beach and public transport. Would recommend to anyone looking to stay in benidorm.

Three stars hotel in Benidorm, Alicante. 350 metres away from the Levante's beach. Very close to shops, restaurants, several swimming pools, sport facilities, bars... The room was comfy and cozy. Very clean. Ideal to enjoy the beach and facilities. I recommend it for families with children and group of friends. The service was perfect. The price in summer is quite expensive, but it changes according to the season.

I have stayed at these Sister Hotels, on many occasions, over the past 20 years. Both are excellent & have shared facilities although I do prefer the Pelicanos. The Staff, from Reception, through Restaurant Staff to Cleaners & Shop Assistants are all very friendly & look after their Clients excellently !!!

The Variety of Food is of a high standard, well prepared & well presented & they have a Special “Egg Chef” who does the Fried, Poached, Scrambled Eggs or prepares Omelettes, to your requirements, while you wait.

The Pelicanos Swimming Pool Area is excellent. People from other Hotels & “Time-Share Apartments” used to sneak in to use these facilities but ID’s are now issued to Hotel Guests & the pool is supervised by Hotel Staff.

Drinks are quite expensive in the Hotel but try the Happy Hour or, alternatively, try the Happy Hour in some of the other Hotels, or, there are loads of Cheap Bars in the Vicinity. Shop around, save money, ENJOY !!!!

I stayed in the Hotel Sol Pelicanos Ocas In Late October 2008. This hotel may appear to be familiar to some of you as it is the setting for the ITV Comedy 'Benidorm’ with Jonny Vegas.

The hotel itself is actually two seperate hotels with indepent receptions and dining rooms but with shared leisure facitilies.

The rooms are decent sized, clean and basically furnished. There is a daily maid service.

Food is ok but not that great if you attend closer to the end of the dining times. Seafood figured quite heavilly while were were there which did not appeal to my husband as he hates the stuff. If you also dislike seafood then the range of meals was limited.
