4 reviews of Landgasthof Seeburg in English
A truly nice eatery with splendid ocean view where we went for coffee on Saturday. There are other smaller rooms next to the big guest room which can be hired. There is a great sun terrace in the summer. The service was very friendly and fast and the tea was tasty. Exceptionally yummy was the Altländer/regional apple pie which I had - has to be eaten in this place/the Altes Land. Also the egg liqueur cake and the cherry cake which the others had looked very good. I shall go there again in the summer and enjoy the sun. Maybe Burkey passes by - he is supposed to live around the corner. There is also an adjacent hotel near the eatery on which I cannot comment.

Surely Christian Rach would be satisfied here: the food is very tasty, freshly prepared and varid. The best thing are the cooking seminars: cooking under supervision, we did this with our department. It was superb. The location of the restaurant by the B73 isn't that great but easy to reach even though you have to drive out of Buxtehude a bit. Apart from that the ambiance is great, a small lake, forest behind. The catering service is suppoed to be very good, the owner also lets a black oldtimer for wedding drives.

The cooking seminars with Seeburg-Chef Michael are aA true hit! I attended quite a few and am addicted. One thing first: You won't learn serious cooking here. Nothing is truly serious here but rather extremely entertaining. They laugh a lot, drink a lot of tasty wine and at the end (often at a late hour) eat together nicely. The moments to learn are named 'smart-ass moments' and as such are being shouted out loudly. Many nice tips for the hobby chef. But as mentioned, learning isn't the most important thing here but rather an amusing and entertaining evening with a good group.

If you want to eat very well you go to the Seeburg, with great terrace and beautiful view of the Neuklostersee. Whether two of you or a bigger group, everyone will be served superbly and the food is on your table at the same time which I consider as important... and after the meal you can explore the wonderful forest...
