Simon's Fish & Chips, Cowley, Oxford

Simon’s Chips is a must do when we visit the Oxford O2 from Watford where we come from and more enjoyable chips cannot be found. Their chips are second to none.

I totally concur with Bopeepsheep’s review with respect to being cheered up by the staff, they always make me smile.

Simon’s has one of the friendliest, chirpiest, bubbly members of staff of any take-away in the city. You cannot just shuffle miserably in and order a portion of chips without being cheered up, entertained, and generally cajoled into feeling a lot better than when you went in. And the chips are wonderful - crisp, with just the right level of moist stodginess. Much better than some of the better known chip shops nearer the city centre. Fish is usually cooked fresh in front of you, which is a big plus, as well.
