Rote Bar

We were a group of 5 about a week ago who were refused access because the maximum number of people allowed to enter simultaneously was 4. (How ridiculous of a system is that?) The problem was not this but the way the gentleman at the door communicated the “bar rules”. Disappointing manner – the kind of which makes you choose the next best bar in town immediately. We left the place after waiting outside for 15 minutes as none of us felt like it anymore. Now get the twist: some friends got there 5 minutes before and were already inside waiting for us. I understand that ours was not the first experience with a cocky and overly self-important staff at this venue. Red Bar: not impressed.

Small bar with a special flair. They have a doormen and staff that is dressed in black and knows their trade. So be aware that you won’t get in with jeans or short trousers or anything casual looking. Yet, they have great cocktails and if you are up for a fancy evening this might be the place you are looking for.
