This has been a firm, unwavering favourite of mine & my family’s for many years now. It seems to be the 1st choice for any birthday or catch up as it manages to combine a sense of occasion without feeling stuffy or old. That said it has a wonderful, traditional feel thanks to the attention to detail that all the staff give as well as the actual decor. If you have to wait in their small bar area for your table - it is never for long and they mix a great drink so just relax and enjoy the whole experience. You can expect the food to be spot on every time. My Godmother and I love this place as they always have such a good fish selection on the menu. If you are lucky enough to be invited to the member bar and restaurant do go - the dark wood exterior is quiet unexpected after the bright light of the flower shop (which is how we entered) and the lift that takes you to all floors and glass staircase makes you feel a bit like the snow queen (or maybe the fact it was winter and we were in arctic fox added to that!). For what it is prices are fair, I’ve eaten in ghastly places for a lot more. This place in not trying to be anything more than it is - but that just happens to be a really fantastic and place for lunch or dinner.

The food is a bit ..meh. Especially if you’ve been to top restaurants. It’s only surviving because it’s ‘popular’ amongst celebs.

Great dining experience! Located in the hub of the theatre district, it is a very popular restaurant with many famous faces that can be there at any given night. With great customer service this is one of the best restaurants in town!

A great experience and I really enjoyed the night. The staff were also very nice and welcoming, I was happy to discover that this place is indeed amazing place to eat, beautiful, intimate and really special.Worth a try if you haven’t gone there yet.

I’ve only been to the Ivy three times with my work friends.
And I’m going back 2005 to 2007, not much has changed at the Ivy.
The Ivy is the one of the best places for me to do some paparazzi work,
(i.e. celebrity spotting).

We went to the Ivy for my partners birthday in May 2010. I had been many times over the years. I was given the most terrible food poisoning. I called the next morning and explained what i had eaten and how ill i had been. I did not even get a call back. We both ate exactly the same food all day accept i had fois gras at the Ivy. Pretty obvious to us and an apology is long long overdue!!!

I went to a corporate event at The Ivy a few months ago. The service and the food were both excellent. The menu was set by my supplier so I didn’t get to choose much but nonetheless the presentation and quality of food was excellent.

As a frequent visitor to the establishment I have never been disappointed by the level of service I have received. Staff are amiable and very attentive to diners needs; which all make for a truly opulent experience (prices indicate this).
The food here is always delectable! However the real star is the wine list, which features unusual and hard to procure varieties of some of the worlds best ranges. The lists have been painstakingly created and do not disappoint!
Overall a truly magnificent dining experience. I would highly recommend this restaurant to fellow gastronomes and wine connoisseurs. You will not be disappointed!

To be honest, I only went to this place to impress my friends. However, I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. OK yes, it did cost a bit more than I expected but it was absolutely worth every penny. The service was great, the food was delicious and I was very impressed to their paid attention to detail.

I had lunch with my first publisher here when I got my book deal, so it is the best place in the world. Historical fiction at its best. David Edwards #no.1. http://theebbandflow.co.uk

The Ivy - is all about service, yes it does cost more than your normal high end restaurant it's the relaxing but old style decor is part of charm and the food is superb and you will be suitably filled by the end of your meal - for the costs you are waited upon which is what you would expect from such a prestigous establishment.
I would definatley recommend to those who love great food and service.

I recently went to the Ivy for lunch it was very pleasant however, the decor was a bit dated and scruffy, I guess that’s the look and feel of the place. The food was nice... nothing out of this world, but I must say the Rhubarb desert and Peach Bellini’s were very good. The service was very good so over all a good experience.
