This is a fairly decent place to eat and spend some time in, if a little out of the way of Truro’s main area. The food is the usual pub fayre and reminds me of those generic 'Brewers Fayre’ type offerings but the portions are huge! It’s not really what I’d call a cosy pub, it’s very open plan. They have a lovely patio area which is nice in the summer, or if you are partial to a fag.

It seems nowadays that pubs are getting more franchised, more generic, more boring and more ‘restaurant’ like. This is so not true here, which has really stayed unspoilt away from the hussle and bussle. They have a really great value menu, a great place to go on a chilly winter Sunday afternoon to have a traditional British meal. When I last went I had a chicken and mushroom pie with chips on the side, my friend a fresh fish dish and the other a lasagne. The staff were really perky, bubbly and just really happy. Id recommend a visit if you were passing through!
