River Island Clothing Co

Store has a nice layout with good lighting selling womans and mens clothes. Generally have a good amount of stock that is a reasonable(ish) price for what it is. I rarely find any faults with there products as they are good quality, and unlike other highstreet shops where some tops get mishappen, i find river island clothing to last longer.

However getting a good customer service seems to be lacking at the best of times. would be nice to be approached by staff and asked if I need help. But maybe that is just me being fussy? Overall nice shop though.

River Island have quite a good reputation as an up-market high street clothes store, but I personally think they are over-rated. I’ve never been particularly keen on any item of clothing when i’ve been in this branch, and I’ve been put off even further because of the prices. They are more expensive than most high street clothes stores, and I don’t think they can justify this expense because their clothes aren’t any nicer. This shop has a relatively small selection and I find it difficult to navigate through the womens section as its quite cramped. Like many high street clothes stores, they only seem to cater adequately for the slim people (size 12 or under!) which is annoying.

I always find the prices in here to be quite high, although I fell in love with a jumper the other week andd spent thirty five pounds on it. The other thing I really liked recently was a pair of black jeans, with again were around the thirty five, forty pound mark. The clothes are very trendy and bang up to date. In my opinion the clothes are aimed at people in their twenties, and at 41 I don’t generally find much for me. However the selection of shoes and boots is great. I have never had a problem myself with the store being too crowded. The staff seem to be very friendly and the whole layout of the store is very welcoming, so I check it out every now and again, even though it is not one of my favourite stores.

Small store, and everything is a bit cramped together - trying to ram too much into one space. Shoe selection is good though.

Smart little womens clothing shop in Stevenage, full of friendly staff and the clothes are absolutely gorgeous! I find them to be on the slightly more expensive side when it comes to high street shops, but the look and quality of the clothes makes it well worth it.
