Home bargains is a really good shop, particularly for childrens toys, stationary, sweeties and home things. It does get very busy on weekends, as you would expect, but otherwise it’s a brilliant shop. My only problem with the shop in the town centre is that the new home bargains shop which has opened in Deepdale is a bit better as it is bigger and stocks more items.

I love Home Bargains for sweets and home essentials. Very busy on Saturday but the staff are amazingly fast.

This was my favourite place for cheap shopping as a student in preston. They are often very busy, even during the day, located at the end of the high street, down from the m and s, towards the library and harris museum. They sell food, grocery types tins etc, they also do toiletries and some toys etc. You do need to know some of your prices to ensure you get a bargain and the coke bottles are in chinese (i think) but are only about 40p so more than half the price of woolworths

Home Bargains does exactly what it says on the tin really. Located opposite the Harris Museum, they have many brand products on offer at cut prices so it really is a good idea to check in here first to see if they sell what you’re after as you are likely to save yourself quite a bit of money. Its quite a big store, doesn’t look it from outside but it’s quite long and they hae quite a bit on offer. It is often very busy so the front of the store and the aisle close to the tills can often be quite cramped and the queues can often be a bit big, but for the money youre saving it really is worth queuing for an extra couple of minutes.

I love shopping in this store and I go in everytime Im in the city centre. As its name suggests you can get some great bargains for the home. They often have some great branded products at very low prices or get discounted product to sell off cheap too. They have lots of new stock coming in each week so there are always new bargains to be found. It is quite large too and they have trolleys but you must remember to take a pound coin. It really good if your shopping on a budget and the prices on toilet rolls, washing powders, toiletries usually are cheaper than the supermarkets. They sell toys and gift sets too so good for stocking up on Christmas presents and stocking fillers.

If you’re a student or like a great bargain (or both!) you have to visit home bargins. Granted there’s a bit of luck involved as to what they have in, but there are some fab bargains to be had! The best has to be straight to wok noodles for 19p. Amazing :)
And cheap loo roll too!!
