Sahara Reading

Sahara is in my mind the epitome of the good drinking experience. The staff are not only incredibly polite and accommodating, but also a lot of fun and are almost unmatched in their field, certainly in Reading. Be it a menu item or something of your (or their) own concoction; these chaps are bartenders as they were meant to be. Love goes into each drink; which can lead to a bit of a queue, but I would advise looking into the VIP scheme- you cut the queue.

The location is eclectic but clean. Prices are somewhat high, but in this case I believe you get what you pay for. The slightly higher price bracket keeps out those people who are only out to get wasted. I have never been unable to strike up intelligent conversation with any of the clientele. in short; if you're looking for a cheap way to get pissed, go to a weatherspoons.

Sahara is like a good champagne: worth savouring.

Over 21's bar located in the center of Reading. The staff are all very friendly and know alot about what they do. The bar serves many different types of spirits, but also serves food. There is a room downstairs that can be booked out for special occasions, cozy and quaint. A lovely place to go.

I love cocktails and have been on many cocktail crawls arounbf reading but Sahara is always the place to go. Expensive but worth it, freidnly service but wish they would have more snacks as I can never time it right with the food serving times. there is also not a lot of room in there which has put me off going in the evenings. Great place though, very good quality

Really nice place for a drink with friends. The staff are lovely and there’s a wonderful selection of cocktails or beers etc.

Could do with having some bar snacks on the menu though.

Lovely staff, great atmosphere and an all round brilliant place to go out with your friends or loved one. Sahara is fairly intimate and the drinks are costly, but the atmophere is fun and the bar staff are friendly and helpful. There’s a lot of choice on the menu and the barman will happily recommend something to you based on what you normally like. They’ve also made me a few 'off the cuff’ concoctions and I’ve never had any reason to complain.

Great little bar.

Sahara is a great place to go for an intimate cocktail with friends. My main complaint is that there are too many cocktails and making a choice is really hard.
I find the staff to be great too (they are very efficient and always smiling).
