This is undoubtedly the best shop of its kind I’ve ever seen . The range of Turkish food is wonderful and in the past year the Polish range has been improved a lot . The Iranian sweets are beautiful and the bakery bread is the best I’ve had . They stock varites I’ve never seen anywhere else and the prices are more than reasonable . No joke – I feel lucky to have this shop at the top of my street .

I live in Turkey now, but I am from Nottingham. Me and my fiance were working back to work tonight, and bumped into someone my boyfriend knows. This man was talking and I heard him say Nottingham then he mentioned this shop...he is the boss! It's a small world, eh? And his son also lives in Nottingham and owns an off license!

This great shop is right on my street and you can get just about anything there. All those hard to find ingredients needed for recipes are here , goods from just about every country you can think of.
Best of all is the bakery , fresh breads baked throughout the day including lots of foriegn specialty breads to cater to the racially mixed local population. The daktyla bread is particularly good.
I have always found the staff and owner very friendly and likeable. My favourite shop and a pleasure to have it so close

The range of meze style beans is amazing , I could move in here
I really like this store for the items it provides. An interesting and wide selection. BUT, the staff are so rude. I say my pleases and thankyous but never get the same politeness returned. Today the arrogant women behind the couter didn't even look at me as she dropped my change onto the floor. The final straw for me. I won't be returning. Manners cost nothing!

Kaya is a great world food stores which seems to always be open ( I can’t say for sure if its 24 hour but I’m pretty sure it is). Its great for eastern European cuisine like polish favourites and Turkish beers and a great flat bread which is the size of a small satalite dish and great for sharing and to tempting to eat before you have even left the shop.
Great fruit and veg that your average supermarket does stock and foreign newspaper and magazines. Its worth a visit just for the Baklava counter at the back of the store and seems to be the only places in Nottingham that I’ve found orzo pasta.

I love this place! It’s open 24 hours and sells international foods, spices and vegetables for low prices, plus frozen foods, sauces, magazines and whatever else you may need. There’s such a wide selection. Definitely come here for fresh herbs, olives, houmous and Turkish bread. They also stock plenty of alcohol and sometimes have offers. I always come here if I run out of milk.
