One of the best selection of shoes .Yes they are not cheap but that is because they are good quality and are comfortable to wear. A good range of heel/styles ect. For a special occasion this is a good place to shop.
I have always found the staff very helpful and friendly.

I would not recommend this shop for anyone looking for a Mother of the Bride outfit. My mother and I travelled form Eglinton to Ballymena yesterday and we looked forward to seeing what this store had to offer. Howwever, even though we saw a few nice outfits that I may have considered, we were put off by the lack of good manners and courtesy that we should have been given. The two shop assistants totally ignored us and offered us no assistance whatsoever! A greeting of some sort would have been appreciated and some offer of help. Our experience in Ballymoney, where we bought a beautiful outfit, was absolutely brilliant and in total contrast.
No Stars For this Store!!!

McKillens of Ballymena takes pride in everything we are about and customer service is one of our main attributes. We strive to offer the best shopping experience and offer a wide range of products to our clients. The ladies fashion department has been running 24 years now and this shows how this department has been successful on many levels. We have also been able to secure a new range of clothes in the past month which shows how commited we are to building for the future.
This is an excellent shoe shop with fantastic variety and friendly and helpfull staff. Also has a superb coffee shop / restaurant on the top floor. Would recommend to everyone to visit.

I always find the staff extremely helpful and friendly. When my children were small I could not get their correct size in Lisburn or Belfast shoe shops but Mckillens were able to order their shoes with no extra cost to me.

The only reason I gave one star marking was because I couldn't enter a review before doing so. If there was a minus section on the stars I would be stating minus ten!!!!!!!
Customer service, product value and product variety is not their strong point. Dated stock and condescending staff are their problem, but then that's a result of course of a 'top down' approach!
Resting on their laurels is how they will flounder and arrogance will be their death knell!

McKillens of Ballymena has long been known for the vast range of shoes offered instore and for the excellent customer service we pride ourselves in. These attributes have also been recognised on a national scale and we are proud to have this on our record. Our continued success for over 80 years is also testiment to these factors and as we look to build on our instore experience and brands we stock this will ensure we have a continued strong reputation in the future.
Iknow it is a very large and well respected store in the town but for me, I’m afraid I have always felt that it was on the expensive side and that you had to 'have plenty of money’ to even go in for a look around. Sorry folks, but this is one that I think wants a certain level of clients and is not a great choice for the everyday, down-to-earth, shopper. Great if you have the means to afford the ticket prices but otherwise give it a wide-berth.

McKillensBallymena, 13 May 2013:
McKillens of Ballymena has developed over 80 years from being a mens shoe shop to providing shoes for the whole family. We have been able to do this by offering a vast range of different brands and styles. We also like to ensure we have prices that suit everyone. Some brands due to the quality of the product are more expensive than others but we also ensure that no matter what the price on an item is, its quality is of a high standard and that the experience the customer has instore is a positive one.
I think this shop likes to prides itself as a high quality shop but in fact i think this puts people off as i know it does for me - it used to be the only place in Ballymena that stocked Clarks so a lot of people would go there for that reason. But i find the staff very rude, ignorant with a 'look down their nose at you’ attitude. Sells some expensive stuff and quality brands if that is what you are after but a lot of it seems very dated also. I would not go into this shop out of choice at all!

McKillensBallymena, 13 May 2013:
McKillens of Ballymena is still the only shop in Ballymena to stock Clarks and this brand is certainly a market leader in many areas and we are proud to stock it. However what makes us stand out from other shops is the variety of brands that we also stock as well as Clarks. These brands do vary in price but we as a company endeavour to stock only good quality shoes that are made to last. This as a result has ensured our continued success and has helped us build a positive reputation has has been passed down through many families.
Way beyond snooty! Tried to catch someone’s attention to get some boots to try on and they weren’t interested! Don’t know how they make a profit!

McKillens of Ballymena has survived for over 80 years and in that time we have satisfied many customers. One of the keys to our continued success is the high level of customer service we provide and we continue to build on this attribute every day to ensure our reputation goes from strength to strength.
Awful shoe shop. The staff are extremely rude and unhelpful. They would class themselves as the best in Ballymena but overall the stock turnover is very low and the selection of items is not great.

McKillens of Ballymena take a pride in their customer service. We have for over 80 years provided excellent value and fitting to our customers. This is reflected in the many 3rd and 4th generation families who shop with us. We are never satisfied with anything other than 100% so will strive to always do better.
