The Fielding

Quiet little hotel in Covent Garden.

I’m on business trips to High Holborn quite often and really love staying in the Fielding Hotel. Yes, it’s small with (mostly) tiny rooms and narrow corridors. Yes, it’s a little old-fashioned. Yes, it’s dark green inside. But hey, it’s a nice and convenient hotel that has everything I need on a business trip: A safe and tidy and quiet place to sleep, reasonably priced (especially for London!).

As said, the Fielding Hotel might look and feel a little old-fashioned, but it has its own charm. Definitely not the place to impress business partners, hold conferences (they don’t have conference rooms) or spend your holidays. But I’d rather stay here than in an anonymus concrete bunker with a “spa”, it’s special.

The owner is constantly improving the quality of the rooms and hotel in general and the staff is always very helpful and friendly, not just for returning visitors.

I like it.

I stayed here a couple of years ago when visiting family in London. It is on a lamp lit Street which added to the quaintness of it. The staff were really freindly and helpful. The room was very comfortable and clean. It is very central to Covent Garden and is just across from the Royal Opera House. When I go back I will definitely be staying here again
