Corrupt and underhand from the ground up. If you eat here, don’t tip your server. They see none of the money, it all goes to the owner. They are also terrible to their staff, the working conditions are appalling, they frequently try to dock wages and they discriminate against those who aren’t members of the family. They also skimp on food and drinks (too much ice, not enough ice cream, for example), so you’re never going to get what you expected.
Best Indian food for miles! You pay a little more but totally worth it.

The Bombay Cottage is a top quality Indian restaurant situated at the bottom end of Hamilton, just up from the Palace Grounds Complex and directly across the road from the Town Hall (there’s even handy parking in the car park next to the Town Hall!).
This restaurant has been around a while but like wine, it just seems to get better with age!
The restaurant itself is friendly and welcoming, as are the staff. The menu is extensive, and even if you’ve been dragged along as part of a group but don’t really like indian food, you’ll still find something you like in the european section of the menu.
The food is very authentic and portion sizes are massive - so make sure you’re starving when you dine here!
The prices aren’t cheap - but considering the quality and portion sizes, they are well worth paying.

Top class food. The staff are friendly and the surroundings are top class. An extensive menu of both indian and european food is available. It is centrally located and easy to park your car. I have eaten there on a number of occasions and it never disappoints. Highly recommended!!

This is a top class Indian restaurant. It’s menu is extensive and unusally for an Indian restaurant it’s “European” food selection is varied and of a high quality.
However why anyone would go there just to eat a steak is beyond me! The Indian dishes are amazing and the portions are truly huge. There are loads of vegetarian options, and friends who eat meat have told me it is always really high quality.
The service is also great and the drinks prices are reasonable. The only place the restaurant really fails is when it comes to its deserts. They are basically just frozen little snacks. However honestly if you get a starter and main course you’ll never manage to eat a desert.
Their nan breads are also brilliant and are definitely worth trying.
