Very different inside to out. Beautiful town centre building. Inside it is cleared out, open plan, spacy and modern furnishings - lots of sports screens, probably good place to watch a match, was playing rugby league on my visit, not big in Herts ? standard pub grub menu available and McMullen Ale.

In the evening, particularly Friday / Saturday nights, this is a youngsters pub. Steer well clear if you are over 25!

This pub has been relatively recently been refurbished, and it is looking a lot better for it. It has a very clean, sophisticated look, and you feel very relaxed when you walk in.
The food there is delicious and is relatively reasonably priced. The baguettes are by far my favourite thing on the menu and you get very generous portions (usually with chips!).
There is a wide selection of drinks available and the prices are pretty good. They also play sports on the big screen at the weekends.
