faces nightclub

I live in Norwich and we planned to go here for my friend’s birthday (Sat 2nd Feb 2013). We had two people who were 19 and one person who was 20 in our party so we phoned to check whether they could get in or not (because is said over 21's). Faces told us over the phone that we wouldn't have a problem. We queued up and most of our party got in (including the 20yr old). When the bouncers got to the 19yr old girl they we're going to let her in until they realised she was with her 19yr old B.F and they then refused to let either of them in. The bouncer (I think his name was Lenny) was very inappropriate. He acted and spoke in a disgusting manner. His exact words to me were ‘you are a fish-face, curb crawling c**t’. No one should speak to anybody like that.  We told him we had phoned beforehand and he said ‘well if you spoke to a receptionist they can say what they f**king want, it doesn’t mean anything’. If it wasn’t the fact that we had come all the way from Norwich and if the bouncer had apologised for the inconvenience and been respectful about it, we wouldn’t have been so annoyed. Straight after us two 19 year old girls got let straight in without question. We saw this and said something, his reply was ‘I don’t give a s**t’. The rest of our party came out 20 minutes later because the club was small inside (there was only 2 small rooms and one bar), it was rough and nothing special at all. He also pushed a girl in our party and she fell to the ground. Please do not visit this nightclub, the bouncer we experienced is rude, sexist, ageist and should really be locked up and not allowed to treat/talk to people the way he does. I have read reviews previously about him also being racist. There is also not really anywhere else to go apart from a small cocktail bar and another small bar.

It’s a good club been there a few times had a good time. But recently they have racist bouncer on the door very aggressive. Do no know how to speak to paying customers . I will be spending my money in central next time. Where the bouncers are not on a power trip.

Been here a few times, a couple times on a Friday night, great drinks, good vibes, people & music. also been on a sunday too but Two different vibes but both good nights,.

I don’t go to Faces that often but it’s definately a good night out!! It’s alot more exclusive than anywhere else nearby and is a regular celebrity haunt!!

It’s worth getting yourself on the guestlist as there can be long queues to get in, especially when they have a PA. You can also become a member of Faces, I’m not too sure of the prices but you can sign up there and then!!

Drinks prices are ok, they are cheaper on a Thursday night as that is their “student night”.

Faces is great for a drink and a dance after the pub!!

Great place to party! lOVELY WOMEN, WICKED VIBE! Great atmosphere, great people, misture of people. cheap drinks compared to up west

I do like this club, it play a mixture of music and is done up lovely. They have amazing live PA’s such as Neyo, Usher, Genewine, 112 how I do not know.

Faces is an exclusive club located in Ilford that is richt next to Gants Hill tube station.

You will often read in the papers about many celebrities who go there, particularly footballers.

It has a stylish, modern feel. Drinks are averagely priced.

It has always been one of the top nightclubs in the area. Good music is played with different music on different nights. A good night out.
