good for drinks although if you get a good tasting pint then your lucky, the food is totally rubbish, you can tell its all microwaved food, my food was warm and cold in places, my friends was warm plus it had the heating instructions at the bottom of his bowl, not a good impression. so stay well clear of the food there. but good atmosphere.

The ultimate student venue right next to the Uni and located on the river Soar (hence the name 'Soar Point’). If you’re looking for dead cheap drinks, live sport and a cool place to hang out then you should check this place out. Not good for parking (unless you get there early and have a student pass) and impossible to access for anyone with disabilities, as there is a tricky flight of metal stairs to get past before you get down to the bar.

Yet another student pub which is generally oretty busy day and night during term time. It’s usually slightly grubby and the toilets tend to leave a little to be desired, but it’s ok for a cheap drink and some standard pub grub. There’s a pool table and numerous flat screens that show sport or music videos. The best feature for me is the 'balcony’ outdoor area which overlooks the River Soar (hence the name) and in the spring you can watch the baby duckies floating by. Very peaceful, if, again a little dirty.

This place is totally inaccessible though due to the large staircase you have to negotiate at the entrance so wheelchair users or those with mobility difficulties steer clear.

ive only been in the evening and it gets quite packed! but comfortable still. good place to have a laugh with your mates.

Another scream pub. This time it is the De Montfort side. Good atmosphere, great terrance that overloads the river Soar - great if you can manage to get the seat.

Usual scream prices with yellow card, can be busy at night time but normally quite relaxed during the day. Awesome staff!
