Lakeside Fish Bar, Alsager, Stoke-on-Trent

Decent enough chip shop in the town centre, located near to the litter strewn Mere park.

I do sometimes get the feeling they are coastin along knowing that they are the only chip shop in the local area, and that if you want them from anywhere else you would have to travel right out of town to get them.

The chips certainly arent as nice as they used to be a few years ago, and yet other chippies in the area still are, so the staff trying to say its down the potatoes are fibbing.

Large range of food though, so even if not everyone in the family wants chips, they can still get food.

Family run chip shop, which has been in Alsager for a long time, and apart from the occasional dip in form,only ever gets better. Only problem is they shut for 2 weeks during the summer and it always seems to coincide with my time off!

The chip shop backs on to the local lake, so it nice to buy a bag of chips and then walk down the watch the ducks. Unfortunately despite the best efforts of the chip shop and council in putting out lots of bins, there are still a lrge numbers of litter bugs which ruin the area for everyone.

The chip shop is near to the whole glut of takeways in Alsager, but being the only chip shop in alsager does have that as its pulling power.

Food is always good, and the pizzas are competing with the local kebab and pizza shops for taste, but not in size…the small really is very small!

best (well, only) chippy in alsager!

good quality food, and service is always quick even at peak busy times.

Family run business, which also does pizzas and other take away items such as burgers, all to the same high standard.

Only problem is the inevitable litter outside which is the fault of the consumer not the chippy.
