I went on E-Bay and bid on a Prune handbag. Never heard of it before because I don't think they sell them in the Macys' where I usually get my handbags. WOW, I was super impressed! Very nice and stylish. Everyone should have at least, one. : )

I just returned from Buenos Aires yesterday. I had one hour to shop before taking a taxi to the airport and Prune was right next to our hotel, Sheraton Libertador. There was a knee high beautiful boots greyish brown color and they didn't have my size so, Paul, the manager asked one of the attendants to go to their other store to get my size 7. Great, in 5 min., I was fitted with one of the softest leathers I've ever owned,$200. I could put my jeans inside the boots or where it out. The style is so trendy, I know these boots can cost up to $400 in the US...if you could find this style and leather. I wore these boots all day and during my trip of 12 hrs to get back to the US....they were the most comfortable boots ever.
I bought two black leather bags. One was for travelling with many zippers and so trendy, I just snatched it without thinking twice about the price. They are well made and the lining on the inside is very professionally done, the zippers are well made too. I love pockets with zippers and will hold many things, like a place for my passport, jewelries, make up. Just very crazy for purses with many compartments. I also bought on sale $25 ea. small wallets and coin purses (or cr. card holder) and couple eyeglass holders. These were of many interesting shades of colors not see elsewhere. The zippers and snaps are made of high quality. Would be a great XMas gifts for my sisters and friends.
The high quality and trendy designs make Prune my #1 list and definitely will buy more leather products when I return to Argentina.
Paul will go out of his way to please you and he understands high fashion!
Thanks Paul!

I agree. Prune was one of my first discoveries in Argentina. I just came back, I was there for 23 days and I visited Prune more than once. They're style of bags are practical and affordable. Yes in Pesos it seems expensive, but compared to our exchange rate 1-4, it's pretty reasonable. Prune will definately be visited again on my next Argentina trip. Too bad we can't have the luxury of shopping at Prune here in Canada.

There are a number of Prune leather bag and shoe shops around Buenos Aires. Try Florida 961 or in any of the large shopping centers.
This chain of shops stock a large number of leather bags in every shape and colour you can think of. If you want to take advantage of buying up a bit of argentine fashion then you shouldn’t miss going to prune to pick up something that takes your fancy. Granted its not cheap (in pesos) but you will find something much nicer and much cheaper than you would in say in London. They also stock a small range of shoes - personally I would stick to bags where this shop is a must.
