1 review of St Augustines Abbey in English
St Augustine’s abbey marks the start of Christianity in England as it was founded by St Augustine circa 597 AD.
There is a museum on site which tells the story of this Canterbury World Heritage site and it is wonderfully peaceful to wander around the ruins.
In the Summer this is the venue for open-air theatre which provides a romantic setting for Shakespearean plays.
