Clean showers that are hot and good pressure. Changing area nice and spacious. Cafe area a bit atmosphere-less, but decent and quite large. Gym is a bit clinical (one big square) bu does the job fine. Plenty of equipment - it's a bit rusty in places ( around bottom) but works fine - just looks a bit tired - though all being replaced in March 2013 apparently. Staff fine - not giving you high fives when you walk in, ( who wants that!) but polite when needed. Pool very good: warm, spacious and not crowded at all. Steam room and sauna both good. Spa pool a bit too chlorinated. Price at £50 pm for 12 mth contract is about right for a 'good-ish' gym, not budget, and not luxury. Would I recommend - yes, especially if all the equipment is renewed. Staff allowed a visit to the gym and zero hard sell - all very relaxed and friendly, which I liked and makes me much more likely to join than some 'super- sales' type who will stitch you up and tell you anything ( thanks Ben for being a decent type and doing it the right way at Esporta (virgin active) Guildford. Nice gym, happy with the facilities on offer, pool is great, not too busy even at peak times. Quite impressed!

This gym is fairly new and as the other reviewer said, you really need a car to get there unless you live very locally or can get on your bike and cycle over.

It has a beauty salon which is quite handy which offers late appointments and a good range of treatments.

The bar area is ok - shows the rugby so can’t complain.

Swimming pool is good, quite small but clean. Plus there is a hydrotherapy pool as well as sauna and steam room (both mixed).

The gym is well stocked although it doesn’t yet have power plates and there are a couple of studios plus a spinning class room with the most yellow bikes i have ever seen!

Everyone seems friendly, one of the better gyms in Guildford that i think i saw when choosing one.

I would have given this sports center 5 stars because it really is a great a place to come and have a swim or work out. The only thing that stops me is the location - you need a car to get here. There is no two ways about it - I lived near the train station in the center of town and there is no way it is walkable and from what i could make out no buses to take me there.
That aside, the pool was lovely - it wasn’t crowded and I had a whole lane to myself (peak time and all), but just to top it off there was the big jacuzzi at the end I sat in for most of my time. There are also saunas if they take your fancy.
When you come out, there is a small comfortable area to grab a drink and sit down (even internet).
If you can get there - then I reccommend it.
