I have to say this place is possibly the worst restaurant I have been to. There's no atmosphere and its dirty and ugly inside. Located underground, it looks for like a basement than a restaurant. The food is just atrocious, the rice is hard and the curry just made me want to throw up.

PLEASE AVOID AT ALL COST. Do not trust the fake reviewers!

Delicious Food, generous portions with plenty of taste, i visit this place once a week. Staff are very friendly and provide an exceptional service to their customers. 5 star rating.

Review of Euston Chinese Restaurant from 4 December 2012

I've been there twice and the quality of the food is bad, the potions of rice is normal but the meat and sauce on top is miniscule! I ordered beef with black bean sauce and i got a plate of rice served with 4 small pieces of beef and some onions and carrots and about 3 spoons of sauce on top. It also didn't taste that good, I would say 2/5 for taste. I went back last night for takeaway, I don't know why because I have had such bad experience before, maybe its because I was too lazy to cook and I live 1 min away. I made some rice in my rice cooker and ordered chilli shredded beef on the phone. I went to pay and pick up my dish. It was 1/4 full! Ridiculous potion! Let's say normal takeaway plastic tub, touching the lid is full, it was 1/4 full or less. I could pick it all out in 3 table spoons! Also to make it worst, I say 1/4 of the dish was beef, rest were again onions and carrots. For 4.20pounds, I could have just bought myself 2 nice steaks at tesco and fry them for 3 mins.

I have to say this place is so stingy and I would not be surprised if they closed soon. They must not be getting any customers cos the times I've been, I had been the only one in the restaurant except for their Indian delivery man. Also they are probably low on budget hence the tiny tiny potions.

My advice, go down to Chop Chop in Kings Cross, similar prices and potions are 4 times bigger!

i lurv this place it's been looking after my hungry tummy moments since 1999 as i've worked around the corner. choice of three starters and piled mains keep us coming back sometimes week after week to fulfill that lunchtime 'satisfaction'. we like to call it the greasy-chopstick. peace-out!

Good little sit-in & take away restaurant. If you work around Euston area this is a nice little treat - especially if you're hungry! Lunch offer includes, starter, main course with choice of rice/egg fried rice/noodles. Priced @ £5 - £5.50. And trust me they are plenty!

Don't expect a nicely decorated restaurant though... just savour the food :)

There are, since the previous reviewer's visit, plenty of shared tables.

Lunch specials range from £4.60 to £5.20. Their range of dishes include Thai, Chinese and Malaysian.

Yes, the chicken wings are nice, but the soups and rice dishes are the main event - my Malaysian Laksa, a huge bowl of spicy noodle soup, was big enough to jump into and far too much for a single person to eat alone.

The atmosphere is authentic, as is the food; Yen is popular with Chinese and Malaysian customers and its decor sparse but original - like a little café in the suburb of a big Asian city. Great for a tasty holiday at lunchtime.

I really like this place and can’t quite put my finger on it.

Small little take out run by around 3 people. Huge selection on the menu and the majority of it is cooked immediately infront of you. The spicy chicken wings are delicious, cheap and beat KFS anyday!

There is only one table in the place, normally occupied by on of their staff.

Prices are very reasonable and the portions are large. Always friendly and polite when serving too.

Recommended if you’re in the area or have just finished work!
