Review of Vue Cinema from 16 February 2011

I was there on 15th February to see Yogi Bear in 3D which we enjoyed. Sadly the female toilets were appalling. What a mess they were in. I did speak to someone and it was dealt with eventually but to let them get as far in the day like that was in my opinion not good.

Hamilton waited for alot of years to be equipped with a decent cineam, and this is finally it!
Compare to the old one, this place is absolute luxury and has most of the trappings of mulitplexes elsewhere - albeit on a slightly smaller scale.
There’s usually a good selection of films playing, staff are friendly and helpful and there’s a good selection of snacks and treats on sale in the foyer (mind you - they’re as overpriced here as at every other cinema in the land!).
The seats are realtively comfortable, and spaced out however, if you want to be picky, in comparison with larger multiplexes this cinema isn’t as luxuriously kitted out and due to it’s smaller size, struggles to cope during busy periods.

Recently went to see a film on an Orange Wednesday so we got two in for the price of one. I found the whole experience to be wonderful from the moment we set foot inside to the minute we got out. Though it doesn’t look much at the entrance the lift makes it really accessible for disabled people, and there is the option to sit and enjoy a drink and snack at the bar. Seats are really comfortable and the space in between them is really good. Staff are really friendly and helpful though at times it can be busy and queues can be long. Best advice is to buy tickets earlier on the Wednesday that the film you are going to see.

cinemas which serve the local community well. well priced ,one of the cheapest and well presented . snacks can be expensive but you can always take your own in, it has a bar , food counter and ice cream bar ,they have a variety of films showing at 1 time and it always seems to be busy on weekends and at new released films. they also run a kids am showing at weekends which is really cheap but only shos older films , but still before they are released on dvd, (well most of them). popular at summer and over the festive period and busy at the block buster releases i.e pirates of the carribean , oo7, anf the type. good for a first date as you need to speak much and can hold hands up the back . word of warning though at pg rated films you alwaysget the group of young teens wasting it for everyone else . dont put up with report them and have them removed from showing , whyt should you waste your money on watching something you cant get to enjoy.

Vue Hamilton is a state-of-the-art mutliplex cinema located in Palace Towers on Palace Grounds Rd. The modern cinema has 9 screens and can seat up to 1,515 people. The cinema is also located close to many restaurants and makes for a great evening out.

This is located to the bottom of Hamilton with parking outside which is free. The cinema is good modern and the toilets are clean. The cinema runs all the new films and this can make it very busy i remember nearly missing a film until they opened another desk just for our film. The usual are available from popcorn to ice cream to the big bags of maltesers etc. a really good cinema the one i use all the time.

Review of Vue Cinema from 3 October 2008

I visited this cinema during a weekday and it was very quiet and lots of parking spaces in the car park out front.

After a member of staff eventually appeared behind the counter that usually sells the sugar and salt based snacks I bought two tickets at a not very off-peak £5.65 each. Only to receive a receipt paper-receipt stylee ticket, tut tut tut, I’m sorry but when I go to the cinema I want a proper card ticket (ideally with a perforation down the middle) for the multiplex or an old-school wee pinky orange ticket from the art-house.

I then asked for a coffee, they had no milk, the place is about 20 yards from a supermarket.

Once seated I found the fixed, not fold down, seats quite uncomfortable and with poor slouch factor.

This Cinema is really modern. If your lucky enough to go and see a movie that is in screen 1 it makes the experience a hole lot more wonderful. Screen 1 is the biggest cinema screen in Scotland. The seating is really comfortable and you always get a great viewing of the screen no matter where you sit. You always look level onto the cinema sceen unlike others where you get a sore neck looking up at the screen. The only downfall is that it is always really busy and the parking can sometimes be difficult. The cinema also sells a lot of refreshments from your traditional popcorn to ice cream and alcohol. This is my favourite cinema by far.
