The attraction is brilliant and the Victorian themed set is absolutely stunning! You really do feel as though you are in a Dickens film set. The characters are terrific and the shows that they put on in the courtyard are fantastic. My nephews really enjoyed getting dressed up and playing part of Fagin's gang in the short performance of Oliver Twist. The boat ride is out of this world! I would recommend taking a jumper or jacket with you as you do get a little wet due to the splash, however customers are able to purchase a poncho from the gift shop.
The events in the evening at Dickens World are brilliant, my friends and I regularly go to the Jongleurs comedy nights which are really good value for money as there is a DJ afterparty when the comedians have finished, so it's a really good night out!
Other shows that I've been to include their regular operas and jazz nights which are good fun!
All round a great place and I would highly recommend!

the interior of this place is amazing and very realistic, but over priced and does not keep you entertained for the money……… even the kids were bored after half hour…
only plus side is near to a lot of restaurants and a mini shopping centre…. which filled in the rest of the day……
free parking a bonus but far to pricey to get in……. would never go again…..

Wow this place really manages to mix the educational stuff with the fun stuff. We went there just after it had opened, one carer gets in free with wheelchair user and lots of disabled friendly touches, there is a lift to the top floor and disabled toilets I was able to access all but the boat ride. When you first go in you are welcomed into a typical Dickensian square complete with costumed characters milling around selling traditional wares. There’s even a guy that will draw you as a character for Oliver. EVerything is themed to reflect Dicken’s works and it’s all made so exciting that my daughter can now remember practically every book he ever wrote just from that one visit. There’s a boat fair ground kind of ride, snow falls on the square, there’s a classroom which is fun and a theatre giving shows about Dickens, much more to see than I’ve mentioned we were there over 4 hours a great day out but a little hard to find on the map.

Well the interior of this place is amazing and very realistic, but it still looks slightly unfinished in places. When we went during easter it got quite busy and queues got quite long, i’d recommend going early in the day. For me the shows were quite boring and only really worthwhile if your into the history of dickens. The queues were long and when you get to the ‘ride’ its very disappointing and not very exciting although they have used some very good special effects. The actors that walk around in costumes are very realistic and fun. However if your ordering food expect to wait a while. Would recommend it for children age 6 to 11 and adults, not completely friendly to the disabled or pushchairs and entrance fee could be cheaper. This is not a theme park but an indoor themed museum.

Took me back in time with its victorian theme.
Saw a lot of what I had only read in the books earlier and was thrilled as had liked dickens work when i was younger.
The price tag was a bit too much I think, however worthwhile outing if you have a child aged around 10-16 . The haunted house is somewhat similar to the one at Madam Tussauds so nothing new there and the tiny theatrical shows are brilliant though

An Indoor museum that has several themes that celebrate Dickens life , A theatre that shows his works, a haunted house that also has his stories and a school of the kind that Dickens wrote about.

Was great fun, like walking around Victorian England, without the smells! The little rides and attractions were great, very entertaining. The staff wander around in Dickens costumes and really help bring the place to life. They put on regular shows which are great, and worth a visit, and well priced. I can imagine this is great fun with young children as it is certainly aimed at a younger age range, but still fun for all. Plus you are right by Chatam dockyards and a large shopping centre.
