this place is hit and miss. you just have to trust your luck when to go. i've had some great bargains from here though. its a bit like a car boot sale, sometimes you can find just what you need.
the staff are not friendly the old lady who opens the glass cabinete is a zombie. (unreal )she acts like you are going to pinch every thing . i brought a gold chain and was happy until a few years later was told it by the person i brought it for that it was gold plated by which time it was to late to take it back. top name cloths twenty years ago might be where does the owner live why does he not visit shop he must have made his money and no longer cares what a waste buisness's strugle to stay open yet this dump stays open it was a good place and still could be if staff are not treated well they are not happy this reflects in there job they do so the only person to blame is the owner
Needs regular visits. Much of the time there is little of worth, however, occasionally there are fantastic bargains. In recent times the bargains have become few and far between.
Who can forget the music equipment sale some 18 years ago or the surfing sale some 10 years ago.
My advice is visit regularly - you never know
not worth a star absolute junk who on earth prices up ther items?
it is salvage and fire/flood damaged goods so should be half price or better than half price?
its items you dont realy want either, so if it was a bargain then you would buy it an find a use for it.....
they could do a hell of alot better than they currently do
It’s a really strange place, and how it manages to survive is a mystery. It's like a cross between a jumble sale, and the returns department at Argos. Sometimes bargains can be had (nice Ben Sherman shirt for £5) while other items seem outrageously expensive. I’ve seen some the same things stay there for year after year without selling. Staff aren’t the friendliest, and usually there is someone following you to watch that you aren’t shop lifting, which is odd as most of the tat you'd be grateful to lose!
This reminds me of the old rag market, its like a bazaar of items thrown on shelves for you to look through, in all honesty I was not impressed. Considering the size of the store and the location I expected more quality and a much better range. The only way I can describe the stuff in here was general tat. The prices for toys and electrical goods that I could see were not overpriced considering its not the type of place you could really return stuff too. The staff barely look at you when they are serving you and are too busy chatting to even notice whethor your male, female, human or alien.
