Taunton Library

I can't find the opening times anywhere ?

Taunton Library is right by the tourist information centre, which is handy, and at the bottom of the multi story car park, and the fortress like toilets, I avoid like the plague, which I would probably catch if I used them.
Anyway, the library has a surprising good selection of DVD’s, and CDs and tapes to borrow, which surprised me because in the main I find the media offered by libraries to be quite limited. Big Hollywood movies like Indiana Jones and the Kingdon of the crystal skulls, along side smaller budget British movies like Mitchell and Webb in Magicians, (worth watching for light entertainment). I made an enquiry at the enquiry desk which was dealt with quickly and efficiently. This is also a cyber cafe and internet access in a study area in the library. Periodically also available for reference.

Great library with lovely staff. Good range of book and plenty of computers. Also has a children’s story session for various ages.

A great local library, right in the town centre. Loads of books, music CDs and DVDs to choose from as well as plenty of research material.
The computers make it easy to search for items and can also be used to log onto the internet for fee.
They also have monthly story times for children and other events going on throughout the year.

Can’t fault Taunton Library at all. They have a huge range of books of all types for adults and kids, as well as CDs and DVDs to hire too.

There’s also a free suite of computers where you can work on documents or just surf the internet. You can get an hour a day for free.

Staff are very hlpful and always willing to help.

There’s also a small cafe inside with more computers in it, so a true “internet cafe”!

This place is huge, and filled to the brim with great books. I love it. They have kids and adults books. They have books, dvd’s, videos and you can even use the computer for free.

This is a fair sized library with a good selection of books. Last time I went to Taunton Library I found 5 good fiction books within about a minute and some of them were very new titles.

They were also doing a “lucky dip” where you borrow a book that’s wrapped in brown paper so that you can read a book you wouldn’t normally choose. The one I got looks ok but I haven’t started it yet.

This library is very easy to use and I often take out books usin gmy library card. The actual library is big, and there is a large variety of books to borrow, and cassettes. You can also loan dvd’s and video’s. Also they have about twenty computers you can go on for free, and look on their database of books to find what you want.
