The Golden Lion is our favourite pub when we are in town to see Ipswich Town FC play. Good place for a typical pub lunch with family and friends and typical pub atmosphere and good all round service.

Like most places in the town centre, best avoided on Friday night but otherwise pretty decent if you get a table.

This has to be one of the cheapest pubs i've been into (in the UK) in years. £1.45 for a pint of Spitfire. A round of 5 double rum and cokes for £9.80. A full english breakfast for £2.25! Sweet Jesus... it was like going back to 1996.
Friendly staff, but i wish i could say the same for the punters. The price of the drinks obviously attracts the real trash of Ipswich. Be prepared to see fighting and vomiting if you're hear on a Friday night. Don't say i didn't warn you!

Great little pub which does wonderful pub lunches and breakfast during the day.
At night, its an amaing place to go drinking as the prices are low, and theres no background music so its easy to converse with friends. Gets bsy at times, but its just shows how good of a place it is to go!
