Excellent pub in a quiet leafy part of Kensington. Good quality gastro pub fare. Gets very busy on weekends but the area you book is in the restaurant and not in the pub section. Nice outdoor section too.

This is normally one of my favourite pubs because it's located on a beautiful square in Kensington - and there is some outside space which is really great in the summer.

The food was always excellent, but a very recent meal was disappointing; some of the dishes were bought in rather than made on the premises. The starters were fine (and very generous portions) but the main courses were not as good as usual. The lamb was watery, the duck on the tough side and served with an unappealing sticky citrus sauce.
Maybe not a good night for the chef.
But still a great pub.

Great gastro pub; good selection of real ales drawn from various brewers. Excellent food menu. Packed with young professionals and locals - sometimes a little too packed.
