A beautiful building, like a picture postcard. Ruined by the Manageress who is hostile, aggressive, and VERY unwelcoming Sadly she trains her staff to be just as unfriendly and unhelpful.
Time someone sent a formal written complaint about her to Wetherspoons head Office

AVOID

Whilst I’m normally quite a fan of Wetherspoon pubs this is by far the worst I have been to. The building is a wonderful old building with visible beams and the like, but the place is severely let down by the management. They are so immensely unfriendly and unwelcoming its definately not a place i would recommend. The food is okay, but like with all Wetherspoons everything bar the red meat and chips are microwave meals. If there were more competition in this town this place would have gone under years ago.

Yes I quite agree. Its a lovely lod building, like a picture postcard, but run by a Manageress who is hostile, aggressinve, VERY unwelcoming, and she affects her staff with the same unfriendly unhelpful attitude. Disgusted….

It wouldn’t make any difference. I used to work there and the management were dire. It’s all about profit and nothing else. Staff can work their arses off and still be told to work quicker. I worked in the kitchen and you really wouldn’t want to know about the conditions I had to endure. On 3 occassions I would have closed the kitchen but no – I was told to work on. The only weapon I had was Enviromental Health unfortunately. It’s no wonder they can never keep their staff when they are treated so badly. And yes, I had meetings with people from head office and had no joy. They seemed to all be in each others pockets and never took a blind bit of notice of what minions like me had to say. Eventually I left as I couldn’t stand it any longer.

The old manor is pretty much in the town of Bracknell. It has it’s own car park, which is free but it can be really hard to get a space at times especially on weekends. They used to run the nightclub bus from here, and it was packed then but this has since stopped as the nightclub closed. The prices are pretty pricey but I guess their in line with the area. There are different rooms with seats but still can be hard to find a place to seat at peak times. The staff are really friendly.
I really liked the atmosphere at this pub, not to mention the food is really yummy!

The Manor is part of the Wetherspoons chain and so is a bar that also sells food, at really cheap prices. During the week its a nice place to go and chill out with a meal during the day or a drink and a chat at night, and at weekends it is hugely popular with young people and is a good place to head to to start the night off before heading out to a club etc. Friendly staff, good atmosphere.. would be nice if it had music though.

The manor is a large pub at the top of town close to Bracknell and Wokingah College. During the weekend it is a regular haunt of young groups of people having a drink but on weekdays it is a perfectly good place to have a social drink and a meal. The food is standard pub grub but of good quality and is very reasonably priced. The drinks are cheap and they have a beer festival in the summer. There is a large patio out the front with large umbrellas and heaters. There is also a large garden out the back, perfect for kids to run around in. The car par is large.
