Chorley Interchange

Built in 2003, this replaced the old bus station on Union street.It cost over 3 million pounds to build and has made easy access for commuters who use rail services as the interchange, is just opposite the train station. It also provides easy access to Market Walk and the Chorley Markets.
It has full electronic displays of bus timetables and stands.It also benefits from cctv coverage.
The downside is when you are commuting from the train station there is a very steep angled path and could cause injury.The steps opposite Woolworths are quite steep and disabled users have to negotiate a ramp which leads to the Taxi rank.
As with a lot of bus stations youths hang around nearby, but they never seem to be a problem.
It is comfortable to use and is warm and airy. There are good toilet facilities available and the staff are friendly and helpful to customers who struggle.

i find the bus interchange really easy to navigate.
it modern clean and well maintained. there are plenty of seats, toilets (including disabled and baby change), a newsagents, travel shop and snack machines.
There is a large choice of busses going to preston, leyland, wigan, bolton and manchester, as well as town circulars and local busses.
the interchage warm and inviting and offers bus and train departure screens as well as maps and service information. it is situated accross the road from the train station and a minutes walk from the shops
