5 reviews of Telford Tenpin Bowling in English
I have just come back promptly from what was to be a family evening out at Telford Bowling TenPin. It is with disgust that my 14 year old daughter and my wife went into the ladies toliets only to find a male and female ‘making love’ (to put it very politely) in the toilets. I also happenend to go to the gents tolilets prior to leaving to find a similar situation.
We reported this to the very young management and they just seemed thay didn’t know what to do, sturreed a little and even when presented with the young ‘lad’ who came out of the ladies toilet with a smug grin on his face, appeared at a loss or even intimidated.
This ruined our last evening with my son prior to going back to full boarding school and will never utilise your facilities again, at Telford or elsewhere. What a waste of £43.00+! Some very neagtive feedback coming the way of ‘Tenpin’ bowling! Unless of course you like it being known as the local ‘shagging’ den. DISGUSTING!!"!!!!!! I have forwarded this to the ‘Tenpin’ Company management too.
Booked a lane online for 2pm. Arrived at 1.30pm and was stood in the queue for twenty mins before being able to say I had a lane booked! I was told I was on lane 4 and they were 5 mins behind. I waited at lane 4 from five past two until two thirty only to be told I was on lane 17!!!!!! Complete farce, came across as totally unorganised and unable to handle the centre being busy.
This is a good place to come bowling. However, it is very very expensive and full of noisy gaming machines which can ruin the family atmosphere. Go on a wednesday night for discounted games.
I used to come here regularly when I was younger, but now that I can drive I find I visit AMF Shrewsbury more often. Although Telford is more local to me, it can be quite expensive, and doesn’t seem to run many offers these days to make it cheaper. I tend to only visit now and then to play pool nowadays, which works out quite reasonable at a per hour rate. I wouldn’t recommend buying a drink at the bar though, because the prices are ridiculously high. Just stick to coming in the holidays during the day when the prices are a bit lower.
With 24 Bowling Lanes the Telford alley is rather sizable. However being the only alley locally advance bookings in the evenings & weekend are recommended. In addition to bowling there is a bar, arcade, restaurant & pool tables.
The restaurant offers basic chip + xxxx meals of an adequate standards.
Unfortunately, on occasion, the easy going door policy lets in too many people you’d rather not spend the evening with though generally it’s a pleasant evening if bowling is your thing.
