Asda Stores

Yes really bad parking hard to get in and out of at the roundabout during rush hour. This Asda though is quite large and has a really good range of items. The george here is good and often has sales to make the clothes even cheaper that usual, they have a full range of their electrical stuff as well as dvds, books and cds. I woudlnt be getting the fresh fruit and veg from here as they tend not to have a long shelf life The meal deals here are good as they have a large range of chinese and vegetarian food. They do have a space in the chiller where the sale items where the date is almost up and they usually have some really good offers here

One of the larger Asda stores in the area with a huge range of products. There is a large clothing department with a range of mens, ladies and childrenswear and footwear also. There is a selection of music and games and a newsagents section with magazines and books. The food itself is very comprehensive and it has a takeaway counter and rotisserie. It stocks the full range of merchandise and often has reduced produce.

This is a good sized ASDA shop with a full range of products available. There is plenty of free car parking and usually plenty of staff on the checkouts. One of the good things about this shop is if you ever have to take anything back then there never seems to be any problem. I’m not one to complain but over the years I’ve had to take a few things back and it’s been fine. A couple of weeks ago my wine dropped out of my wine carrier and 2 of the bottle smashed. I was at home when this happened but took the bottle necks and the wine carrier back to the shop and was given replacement bottles.
Staff are always friendly.

Along with everyone else, I agree with the parking. I go once a month with my parents and my dad always insists parking miles away cause he’s afraid of the car getting bumped cause the road between the parking spaces is a nightmare. This means we have to walk ages with the trolley and for some reason it’s always windy. This Asda is nicely laid out but the first few aisles seem quite small (perhaps its because they’re always the busiest). It has a good range but the fish counter is a little disappointing. The staff have always been friendly as far as i’m concerned. As always Asda’s prices remain to be excellent.

This is my local Asda and to be honest it’s the worst place in the world for parking.It has an extensive range of products and is very competetive pricewise,which is what counts I suppose.This particular branch does electrical,music,clothing for all ages as well as the usual food and drink and to be fair is always well stocked.You could do worse than shop here.The staff are usually quite helpful and it is 24 hour opening hours.

I agree with parking at this store being difficult in terms of driving round. Store like all ASDA has focus on price rather than quality. Much betetr than the Gosforth ASDA but thats not saying too much.
Has the clothing and household electricals aspect to it that Gosforth store struggles to compete with.

Limited organic veg / meat

This branch of ASDA is located on the busy Whitley Road in Benton. It has public transport links and is easily accessed by car. It offers a huge free car park but I have to say I HATE this car park. It always seems to be a nightmare to get out of the parking spaces, not because of space but because of traffic. This is a large ASDA store and has a huge range of products, such as electrical items, cosmetics and toiletries, stationery, entertainment (Cd’s, dvd’s, books, computer games, toys,) clothing, sports equipment and of course the usual food and drink. I’ve always found the staff to be particularly welcoming and they have always been helpful on the few occasions when I’ve needed it. It has a photo developing sevice too but I found this a bit troublesome to use as the cheaper option machines didn’t read the disc so I had to pay extra to have the photos developed in a different machine.
