I ordered a load of camping gear from here and I have to say I am very impressed. The prices were way cheaper than other places online, and I receieved the order pretty much next day via FedEx.

I can’t comment on customer services in the event that something went wrong or if I needed a refund/exchange.

But prices, dispatch and delivery times were second to none. Excellent.

I bought a Gelert Cooker from OutDoor Action. I am an experienced camper. Used the cooker camping with two other families (all experienced campers). The lit gas rings kept blowing out – very dangerous.

OutDoor Action arrange collection of the cooker and claim it works fine. I dont agree and nor do my camping friends. OutDoor Acton’s main concern was getting payment for the collecting the cooker for inspection. Unbelievable.

Gelert don’t want to know as they have less than a 2% fault error on the cooker in question and believe the retailer. So, I guess Gelert think that as the returns are so small they can just ignore matters.

My advice – think before you buy, I will NOT buy from OutDoor Action or Gelert again.

Told Outdoor Action they can keep the cooker. I don’t trust it and would never use it again.

I recently purchased a pair of boots from Outdoor action and have been very disappointed with what I received. Once I returned the damaged item it has been a nightmare getting a refund, this was despite immediately being promised a refund.
I respect the fact some have shopped here for years and others who are satisfied with this Shop. I too read and valued thier reviews resulting in me shopping at this site.
I will never ever shop at this cheap and nasty shop again, sorry.

I had never bought from, or heard of, ‘Outdooraction’ – I was dubious at first as I could only find 2 reviews of the company (one full of praise and one whinging about postage); their prices were almost too good to be true… After digging about on the internet for a better deal without success, I took the plunge and purchased two Vango ‘Venom 300’ sleeping bags, and was not disappointed!

In short; Exact product, excellent price, fast delivery!

I will certainly look to shop from Outdooraction again.

I thought the selection on their website was very good and they had the tent I wanted at an excellent price. I checked my postcode was covered for delivery and ordered. However, 2 days later I received an email saying tents aren’t sent to Scotland. I was really disappointed as I think this should be mentioned on the website. It’s a big omission – a whole country not covered and it’s not stated.

I've been a customer of OUTDOOR ACTION for some 25 years. I'm often dressed from head to toe in stuff I bought there. I can't remember the number of people I've recommended to go there for anything from a tent to a pair of gloves, but particularly for clothing for the outdoors, and none has been disappointed.
The shop holds a massive stock and, as well as the major brands, features makers you don't tend to see so often. These can often provide bargain buys without the stigma of being seen in the well known "economy" brands. They carry all the major brands too, and often at better proices than some of the "high street" outdoor shops.
There's a wealth of knowledge and advice to be had from their staff, some of whom have been there almost as long as I've been a customer! And there's NEVER a hint of the uppity arrogance often to be found in specialist retailers - evryone here is down to Earth, helpful and friendly.
If I need (or simply want to have!) something new for the outdoors, whether climbing, walking or ski-ing, it's always my first port of call.
