I think the phrase ‘more than adequate’ sums this place up. Perfectly situated across from the sea, the food is classically Scottish. Three courses for £25 and two for £20 at time of writing. There is also a busy bar where they’ve got a big bar menu.

Busy on the Friday I was there the restaurant service was spot on and the menu and portions very good value for money. What loses it a star for me is the little bit of ordinary that creeps into the food. Starter a wee bit bland. BUT. I would return and would recommend this place if you are in St Andrews.

Attended a staff 'do here a couple of years ago and have also popped in once or twice for a drink. The meal at the staff 'do was absolutely delicious, I ate three gorgeous courses and the service was brilliant, especially considering how many of us there were and the limited space. I love going on walks in the summer and popping into the bar here for a drink to take outside and sit and admire the view for a while (admittedly, their view is slightly obstructed but having lived here all my life, I can use my memory to make up for what I can’t see from my vantage point). Drinks are reasonably priced and the staff are very friendly. Definitely worth stopping in!

Have not stayed in the hotel but this place has a great little bar and restuarant and serves good food. Reasonable prices and large portions. Very friendly staff. Good position on The Scores overlooking the sea. Walking distance to the rest of the St Andrews nightlife. Limited parking in the area.
