While it gets very busy in the holidays, it's really pleasant when there aren't too many kids. The prices aren't as obscene as other places, though I usually go to Mcdonalds if I'm wanting to eat. I choose John Lewis for tea as it's at the end of the shopping centre (Half way round the entire place for the direction we walk) and for the atmosphere. The staff are satisfactory if not on the one occasion patronising.
There is very little choice when It comes to food, so don't make it your aim when going out.
John Lewis has built a reputation for selling quality goods. I tend to shop there as the extra year guarantee is worth a lot, esp when buying large electrical items.
The Milton Keynes store is spread over 3 floors although the goods are on first 2. There are glass lifts or escalators to access the other floors.
There is a restaurant on the second level that (used to) to lovely pancakes, not sure if they do them anymore.
I like to buy haberdashery items there as they have all the nice little bits that you don’t always get elsewhere. The material section has unfortunately shrunk over the last few years and no longer have the choice they used too.
So if you add the extra year guarantee and the price matching it can’t be bad.

This very large department store dominates one end of the shopping centre at Milton Keynes.
As well as all of the usual perfume, bedding and clothing ranges they do, one of the main reasons I go here for is for their electrical section.
The prices for their electrical stuff like TVs, Computers and washing machines etc is very competitive and they will price match. But what really swings it for me is the free guarantee. I bought a large LCD TV from here which was the same price as Currys, but whereas they only gave a one year guarantee and wanted me to pay extra for 5 years, John Lewis gave the 5 year guarantee free as standard.

A VERY big John Lewis at one end of the shopping centre. It has pretty much everything you could wish for. Downstairs is a large beauty section, a haberdashery, clothes, furniture, bags, shoes, rugs/carpets, kitchenware, gifts (and at Christmas time plenty of seasonal decorations). Upstairs are toys, nursery, children’s clothes, menswear, electricals, more kitchenware, and sports.
The parent room on the first floor provides one of the best areas for baby changing / feeding in the shopping centre. It also has a double toilet with a normal one and a smaller one for 'little people’, along with a potty should that be necessary.
A highlight for my children is a ride in the 'great glass elevators’ where they like waving goodbye to the people downstairs :)

this john lewis is absolutely huge, what can i say it has 3 or 4 levels a large perfume beauty counter area, lighting, rugs, designer clothing for the ladies, menswear and childrenswear with toys and baby goods, a homewear section, plus electrical department, a sports department and a lovely china (dinner services) department , a great shop if you are looking for a gift for someone who has almost everything as you can get allsorts from here and at the usual john lewis quality standard, staff are always very helpful and polite. john lewis is at the bottom of the centre near next with a large square infront which quite often has special displays and events.

In general, John Lewis is a great place to shop. Price match, super returns policy, confident staff who exude knowledge of their products and a pleasant spacious atmosphere to browse without hassle.
MK is a smart store in that it packs a lot into its available space - buy a bed? Sure! Something for the kids? OK! Art for the dining room wall? Go ahead - there’s plenty on offer and, while the price reflects the quality of the well-chosen goods, you won’t be disappointed in the service either.

Good department store. Has good returns policy, and an extra years guarantee with your purchase. Add their price match to the bargain and it is often much better to shop here than at other stores.

John Leiws in Milton Keynes is areally good quality shop. They offer excellent customer service and their staff are very knowledgeable in what they are selling.
Their main departments include: ladies fashion and shoes, men’s fashion, kitchen, audio and tv, baggage, stationary and makeup. Plus more! They also offer wedding list services and personal shoppers.
They are true to their 'Never undersold’ promise, making them as expensive as any other shops nearby. If you find anything cheaper then just let them know and they’ll sort it out for you.
You will leave happy and pleased. I would recommend a trip to MK just for them!

John Lewis is a fantastic department store situated next to Middleton Hall in Milton Keynes Shopping Centre. It sells a wide range of products and it organised into several sections over four floors. These include electricals, sports, clothing, kitchenware, homeware and many many more. The motto of John Lewis is ‘never knowingly undersold’ and I have found that they live up to this promise. It means that they will match the price of any other high street retailer who may be selling a product cheaper. They don’t match online retailers, but will match Curry’s, for example. I recently purchased an HD TV and saw a Curry’s advert in the newspaper where they were offering 10% off the TV I wanted. I took this into John Lewis and they matched the price. Very pleased, the bonus of getting it from John Lewis was that I got a 3 year guarantee.

This is one of the most important features of Milton Keynes! It’s reinvented itslef over the years and is the focal point of The Centre MK. The cafe is brilliant with views out over Middleton Hall and they do great fresh crepes!

John lewis is a very big department store, they have pretty much everything you could ask for in one store.
They have a restaurant upstairs, they sell womens, mens, childrens clothing and have the school uniform department.
They have a big section where you can buy fabrics, cotton, wool, needles, sewing machines ect
upstairs they have a sports section where you can buy rackets, clothing, gym equipment.
They also have a kitchen section where you can buy all your electricals, sauce pans, everything you could need for your kitchen.
Overall this is a brilliant store, i will shop here for years to come, some of there products are very expensive but then some are reasonably priced.

This is one of the first department stores in Milton Keynes, and they’ve been where they are and selling what they sell for a very long time now. They do it well, and they don’t over price everything like some places do. Also unlike some department stores (debenhams for example), they actually leave enough space for customers to access products and their staff are friendly and polite and helpful when you need to talk to them.
The store is nicely divided into departments and it’s pretty well laid out as a whole I think. All the counters are pretty accessible, and their lifts are really easy to access and well maintained too. They’re also pretty good when you do have to take something back with a problem (I had a breadbin that went mouldy on the base, and they were excellent at sorting it out and gave me a full refund without a quibble).

My most local branch of my favourite department store. A wide range of products from quality brands and all covered by John Lewis vow that you will not be able to buy the same producy cheaper in any other bricks and mortar store. Over the years I have bought from a 50p stocking filler to a kitchen which cost so much I don’t really want to think about it and everything I have bought has been worth every penny.
It is rare that we have had a problem with anything we have bought but when we have it has been fixed/exchanged with good grace and efficiency.
An all round fantastic store

John Lewis sells a wide range of products within their department store. On the ground floor there is a haberdashery department, women’s fashion and home furnishing. Upstairs there is a sports/leisure section alongside technology and electrical items for sale. The MK store also has a restaurant upstairs. I like John Lewis because the products are stylish and good quality. They have fashinable, smart clothes for women. Prices for the brands sold vary from mid range to high priced brands.
