Zaks

If you fancy a burger and you are east of the city then you wont go far wrong stopping here. We have been here a few times and the service is consistant and food quality good. if you can't make your mind up if you want curly fries or wedges they will do a half and half for you. You can't ask for more than that. I'm not really a burger man other than about 3 times a year and one of the Zaks restaurants usually fills the spot.

I thought that the decor was impressive and well though out, but the staff were not all that friendly and the food was not wonderful. Overall, not somewhere I would recommend

Zaks is a favourite place in Poringland that I like to treat my Grandchildren to a meal out. This is situated just off the main road that goes through Poringland itself.
This resturant has a tradional american theme and is presented very well. It’s not that big but has quite a few tables available for eating at.
Staff here are very bubbly and happy to help you at any time.
They do have reasonable priced meals along with a seperate childrens menu as often they are very generous with their potion sizes they serve.
This particular resturant can get really busy at weekends and I have always booked a table for when I’ve been here to avoid disappointment.

Zaks have three restaurants in Norwich, one on the riverside at the bottom of Ketts Hill, one on Mousehold Heath, and one at the Swan in Poringland, about 5 miles outside Norwich, where there is plenty of parking in a large car park immediately outside.

Zaks offers an American Diner theme with lots of American 50s style memorabilia on the walls all around you. Tables and chairs are basic but comfortable and there is a reasonable amount of space.

The menus offer burgers, steak, ribs, chilli, chicken, and salads. The portion sizes are big enough for even the biggest appetites and children have their own menu which offers smaller versions of some of the adult menus.

Puddings include huge ice creams and chocolate brownies and are really a good way to end your meal.

Zaks do some really nice thick milkshakes, but these are expensive, so if you have more than one you will notice it on the bill.

Overall, the meals are not bad value, given the amount you have to eat, and it is a fairly relaxed place to eat that is suitable for all the family.

This is a new branch of Zaks resturant that has opened up in Poringland.
I have been there a few times and both times it has been really busy. It is situated just of the main road through Poringland (B1332).
It is a decent sized resturant that has that traditional american theme. It can accommodate small to large parties that want to dine here.
The variety of their american style food is excellent. The prices are not that bad too. They also offer a childrens menu too.
Their burgers are amazing and recommend to all who enjoy a burger to try Zacs.
They have friendly and polite staff here. The waiting times for your meals are not that bad at all.
I would recommend to pre book if you plan to go at the weekend.
Parking out the front is adequate for the size of the resturant too.
