Sheffield Arena

This is located not far from the city centre, but easily reachable by tram and there is plenty of parking available. It is in need of a bit of an update as looking a bit dated now.

A traditional arena for seeing pop stars and shows, but starting to look a bit dated now. It has great public transport links with the tram stopping nearby, and access from the M1 is good. Negatives are that there are never enough toilets, and food, drinks and merchandise are always pricey.
It is more or less the same as any other arena in the country - with uncomfortable and small plastic seats! But I’ve been to some great concerts and shows there over the past 15 years!

A big venue for seeing big bands. however, due to the nature of it being big there is little atmosphere to this place. Personally I would rather not see a band if I am so far away I can hardly see them without a screen, and I have to sit on a plastic chair to watch them.

This place has over priced drinks and merchandise, andit is a bit out of the city. But you can quite easily get a tram from the city centre, and if you really must see McFly then this is the only place in town!

A good place to go and see large bands, and sporting events.

The sound at gigs can be a bit hit and miss at times though. However, due to the size of the arena the atmosphere created from the crowd can be very good!

Right on a tram route, you can watch here ice-hockey matches, gigs and go to events. The gigs have a great atmosphere, seeing as the bands and singers that perform are big name acts and the whole place is full! The ice-hockey matches are fun too, and it’s good to see the Sheffield Steelers playing, if not winning!
