Orange Shop

I spent most of today trying to get some sense out of Orange relating to my Nokia X6 phone whos screen broke whilst in my pocket. The phone is 7 months old so Im told hard luck your problem try taking it up with Nokia.Who it transpires are just as bad as Orange.Finally Im told take it to car phone warehouse with this ref number and they will organise free repair After driving to meadowhall in rush hour traffic told no chance nothing to do with us. Bobby assistant manager in orange shop also advises nothing he can do and sees this as the end of customer relationship.Left phone with him My advice steer clear of Orange

have been with Orange for around 3 years and they area good company if you can’t be bothered to shop around for the best deal and you consider one mobile company to be just as good or just as bad as another.

Their customer service is a bit on the ropey side, I have had to make a few complaints over the years and most of the time I get usual (unhelpful) corporate dribble from who ever I’m speaking to on the phone. I think you have to look at it from their point of view (as with any other mobile phone company) - There are millions of mobile phones in circulation in the UK today, split that between 5 providers and your still looking at one hell of a profit…. why should they make the effort? In my experiance, they’re only REALLY helpful when they’re trying to sell you a new contract.

Ordinarily I’d buy phones online, but after shocking experiences with both Carphone Warehouse and Phones 4U, I was forced to go into an actual physical shop and hand my money over.

I have to say I was pleasantly surprised with the level of service I received. The customer service representative was more than happy to give me the exact phone I wanted without trying to sell me anything else and was very efficient in getting the phone set up for me.

Straight in and out again in about ten minutes. I like that kind of shopping.
