2 reviews of Bidston Railway Station in English
This station is as god-forsaken place. Heaven help you if you end up stuck here as sometimes happens when train services are abruptly terminated without notice. It is the changing point for trains from the Wirral Line to the Wrexham Line but it is absolutely isolated in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by motorway and desolate mossland. If your teenager gets stuck here, for goodness sake jump in the car and get them quick!
This station is well kept. The staff are friendly and helpful if you want to know train times or whatever. The trains run frequently and are easy to access. There is a shelter and also seats in the ticket office if people need them. The only downside to this station is that there is no access, unless you struggle, for people with wheelchairs or those with prams as there are only steps to get to the station. The station is also in the middle of nowhere it feels, although of course that’s more to do with the actual position of the track and not where they have built the station.
