Lovely, traditional-feeling wine bar. It’s like being on holiday when you go to Olivers - feels a bit cut off from the real world (that could just be the alcohol talking…). There’s a nice, but small, outside patio area which is useful in the summer, and a good selection of drinks behind the bar.
In recent years Mollies Bar has opened at the back of Olivers for Friday and Saturday night dancing and this has changed the vibe of the place a bit, I think - it’s pulling in a younger crowd and can be a bit more noisy and jostly. I think Olivers now competes with Kais in the wine bar plus dancing stakes, and it does well.
