If you weren’t happy with the standard of the food then you really should say something to the proprietor! If you don’t tell them, how are they supposed to know!!! Am sure Terry would have gladly provided you with a free meal if he had known.

BENEE CHIPPIE. Very good Chippy, highly recommended to all people who like jumbos, they're the best! OH THE JUMBOOOS! They are really good, no grease and cooked with Bens special touch, I will go there for the rest of my life.

I find this is an excellent chippy, the fish is outstanding. Also do Gluten Free on Tuesday 5-8 just after everything has been deep cleaned. Worth a visit to try the gluten free even if you don't need to have it.
I don't find it greasy, and as said before there is a public car park 1 min away if you need to park.
It may be the only chippy in town, because it has always concentrated on quality and other ones that there were in past years have gone out of business.

By far the best 'chippy' I have found since I left the North East 12 years ago. I simply cannot agree with the first review, on each occasion I have visited the chips and the fish have been refreshingly free of oil and fat. The fish is excellent - I'm a big fan of the haddock - and can be ordered without batter if that is your thing. Do that, however, and you will miss out on an excellent crispy and light batter coating which perfectly compliments what are always freshly cooked chips. I can't comment on the range of other food available, including sausages, pies etc as quite frankly I haven't felt the need to go past the fish and chips.
I agree with the parking comment but there is a free public car park not a minute away, next to the Co-Op.

Unfortunately we found the food was rather oily-dripping batter,on both the occasions we visited,sorry about that but it was not wonderful,just mediocre.

Bens Chippy is fab, ittâ€s the only chip shop in Thrapston. They use old tradional newspaper to wrap the chips in which is a real chip shop in my eyes. They have allsorts of food on offer like battered cheese burgers, battered ribs. Its just brilliant, probably the best chip shop by far!! The only bad thing about this chippy is that there is no where to park outside.
