My partner is a fan of Cafe Rouge, and we ventured in here one Saturday morning. It’s very popular, it was pretty full, but we were still served relatively quickly with drinks, but had to wait a while for our breakfast. It’s a bit of a hike to the loos, which are upstairs, but the food was nice, and we’d definitely return
Café Rouge is located near to the Royal Priors shopping centre. I have visited this restaurant several times, for breakfast, lunch and dinner and have never been disappointed. There’s always a good atmosphere, it gets busy but rarely too noisy. The staff are friendly and helpful, service is always quick and of a high standard. The restaurant has an authentic feel to it and the food is delicious. There are a few special menu deals on offer, depending on the time of day you wish to dine. There’s also a couple of vouchers doing the rounds at the moment, a 2 for 1 and a £10 off, so if you have never tried Café Rouge before, it’s the perfect opportunity to give it a go!
As part of the Cafe Rouge chain, you know what you are getting here. And what you are getting is pretty good. The food is 'French’, and generally very tasty. It’s certainly not the cheapest place around, but they do take Tesco Clubcard Deals vouchers, so you can get yourself a 'free’ meal now and then. They also run a Cafe Scientifique upstairs on the 3rd Monday of the month, if you are interested in listening to scientists talking about their work it is worth popping along.
