Bon Appetit

This is the best French restaurant I have been to outside France. It has a delightful atmosphere, great for chat. The wine list is extraordinary and the house red is fantastic. This is our favourite restaurant. Food is outstanding and I mean outstanding. The steaks are unbeatable - texture, taste, quality. The menu is not huge but there is choice for any palate - try and you will be in gastronomic heaven. I have been to this place about 5 or 6 times, never disappointed. The puddings are outstanding too, especially the creme brulee if that is your thing. Service is good too, unintrusive, friendly and when the staff are not rushed off their feet, a bit of camaraderie too - they've struck a great balance. Our favourite time to go is lunch when the kids are at school and we take the day off to enjoy this wonderful place. Just make sure you book to secure your table.

Went to Bon Appetit for a meal with my partner. We were the only couple in the Restaurant and it had little or no ambience as there was no background music playing or a friendly atmosphere.

We were served our drinks and given our menus and found the menu very limited, basically if you dont like fish there is only steak as an alternative at approx £24!

My partner and I could not find anything we would like apart from the over priced steak on the menu therefore apologised and said we pay for our drinks and leave it on this occasion. To our horror the lady serving us confronted us pointing like a school teacher at the menu saying she could not believe we did not like any of the food and that we must eat fast food!!!!

As you can imagine we were extremely offended by her reaction and bitchy comments.
If the food is as bad as the waitresses attitude I certainly do not reccommend this restaurant!

Was in with a large group recently and must say it has gone down hill. I had the duck as main it was cool at best I get the impression that this restaurant is not geared up for large groups. The lady serving us while very polite was noticable out of her depth and uncomfortable with a busy restaurant. Even if it's all going to pot in the kitchen out front need to keep their head she didn't. Disappointed really.

A wonderful place, with brilliant seasonal food made with expertise. The food and drink are well priced, with set courses for a discount. The alcohol selection is huge, and the staff are more than happy to help you choose! As a bonus, they serve homemade olive bread with ham as a pre-meal nibble which goes perfectly with champagne.

The restaurant has a unique atmosphere - cosy and intimate without being cramped or claustrophobic.

I’d rank this as a 'first date restaurant’. The kind of place you’d go for dinner to get to know each other, and still be more than happy to come back on your anniversary.

Bon Appetit is a delightful little french restaurant hidden away in Exchange Street. I’m loathe to write a good review because then my little secret will become more popular. A wide and interesting variety of dishes are served in this cosy restaurant. Due to it’s size, it’s got a great atmosphere - one which you could imagine sitting there eating and drinking until the restaurant closes. Decently priced and good service are all added benefits!
