Oh dear! Since the Trevor Arms has been taken over (2010 I think) it has gone downhill, fast! The food is awful and they have totally ruined the interior. My Wife and I used to eat here regularly, never again. There are far better places in the area to eat. Try Golden Lion in Rossett.
My wife and i stayed at the Trevor Arms for 1 night on saturday 9th Oct.
The room we had was a disgrace with holes in the carpet, rail above the bed which fell on our heads, carpets uncleaned under the dressing table, sink in bathroom full of cracks and lighting totally inadequate.
At a cost of £46 for one night an absolute rip off.
Dirty ash trays all along landing outside and a room at the end of the landing full of old furniture.
The only good thing about this place was the food which having had both lunch and breakfast we found very good.
My wife made her feelings known to a young girl at reception and then telephoned and spoke to the owner on the monday asking for a refund.
she was told by the owner that his wife would call my wife back which so far has never happened.
We dont mind paying when you get value for money but this definatly did not come under that category.
Mr and Mrs Masters
lovely setting, food excellent value for money and tasty, only drawback is lack of disabled facilities, whilst the satff are friendly and helpful if you are physically impaired would struggle to gain acess and use toilet facilities.
