Found my way into the Pump Rooms having exited the Roman Baths and was able to get a glass of bath spring water for free included in the price. I’ve decided hot spring water is not for me!
What a great room, you can imagine this place in an Austen story.
From what I could tell prices weren’t too high but food nothing special either. I feel they could make this room into a high class restaurant - especially with the band playing. Great stuff.

When in Bath it has to be experienced.
But we were disappointed.

Staff = sniffy
Great place_wrong time to visit
We will try again and hope!

You can’t come to Bath and not have afternoon tea here. Fabulous setting and at peak times they have a string quartet playing.
The afternoon tea is excellent if pricey and an experience not to be missed. Don’t forget to have a glass of the warm mineral water from the pump as well - it’s great!

a fabulous restaurant, serving everything from lunch, dinner, but go there for an afternoon and/or cream tea and cakes. Fantastic opulent setting and great service and food. Lats time we wen there though they were charging 50p for platic cup of bath spring water - the yanks and japanese tourists lapped it up though. oh, and there is a resident pianist to boot.

A glorious restaurant located in the original Pump Room where the fashionable and great would congregate in Georgian times to drink the waters and parade in the latest fashions. These days it is a very refined restaurant specialising in cream teas during the day and just the sort of place to take your mother in law if you are trying to impress her or to meet up with your friends for cakes and cucumber sandwiches while in the background a pianist discreetly plays. A bit expensive but well worth it. Probably worth booking in advance if you are planning to visit at the weekend or a bank holiday as it can get really busy.

.I remember the pump room to be a lovely place but on a recent visit I popped in on a Sunday lunch time to book afternoon tea later that day. The whole place resembled a Bullins canteen with one table eating jacket potatoes and garlic bread. I certainly did not book
