Maypole Inn

A life-saver of a pub which rescued us from end-of-half-term-holiday hell stuck in traffic on the M5 driving back from Devon to London. Cosy and relaxed, it genuinely welcomes children with a sandpit, swings and rabbits in the big lawned garden. The food was great - and home-made and locally sourced and we picked up some bread and chutney to take home with us. Really good value too.

Great food, great atmosphere. the food was a little slow to get to the table but when it did it was brilliant and hot.
Staff were OK, smiley and happy.
I would recommend and would definitely go back.
we had starter, main and a couple of drinks, there were 4 of us and the bill came to £69.

Great family pub on the outskirts of Taunton. This is a large pub which concentrates mainly on it’s food production. The food is tasty and fresh and you will be given a very warm welcome by the family that run it. Having a young child themselves, they are very welcoming to those with children.
