Charnley's Opticians

Ive used this opticians for several years now and I have recieved excellent personal service every time- from fitting me for sunglasses to taking my daughter for regular prescription tests and fittings.  They are always happy for you to drop to check or adjust the frames too! Excellent!

i read all the other reviews and decided this place was the one to visit. super efficient and friendly as well. A thorough examination, but delivered without being patronising or frightening. I definitely recommend it.

I’ve been going to this opticians for over 20 years and they never fail to amaze me with their fantastic range of frames…… I have had complete strangers complement me on the glasses I have bought from here – what more can I say ?!

A genuinely enjoyable experience. I have four children who all wear glasses which therefore necessitates frequent visits to untwist frames and refit lenses. Their customer service is excellent and when it's come to choosing glasses for myself I've found the pricing competitive. I have tried other opticians but have yet to find one in the same league!

Simply the best opticians I have been to in 30 years. I've tried all the major chains but the service, welcome and choice I enjoyed here at Charnley's was outstanding. Don't take my word for it, go yourself. I guarantee that you won't be disappointed.

As far as opticians go, this has to be one of the best I have been to. When you step inside, you feel like you are entering somewhere that really cares about your eyes and has a much less clinical feel that other opticians around. The staff are dedicated and friendly, and really want to help. The opticians themselves are great, explain everything to you and then refer you to help if you want assistance choosing frames. Although expensive, I’d say it was definitely worth it.

Why go to a huge and impersonal chain Optician when you can have the friendly and personal service provided by Charnley’s? The branch is a calm and pleasant place to be, and the staff are all very friendly and helpful. The opticians I have seen have taken their time with me and I feel confident they did a good job. The last time I went I had to hold a screaming baby on my lap while the optician fitted me with contact lenses, and she didn’t bat an eyelid. They have a great range of frames to pick from and are happy to help you choose - and the pair my husband has just bought worked out cheaper from here than from Vision Express.
