Food is a good standard but like every other review has mentioned its very very expensive. However if you can afford it you wont be dissapointed

This place is within walking distance for me, and it is an abomination ! Both food and drink are for people who have more money than sense. Definitely a 'No No' Cross the road to the Glegg instead.

Trendy upmarket pub aimed at wealthy people.
Give it a miss if you are simply a drinker.

Very expensive lately!! This has been refurbed, and it seems the prices have gone through the roof. Not somewhere to take the children, seems to be aimed at the higher end of the market. Food is of a good quality, although I don’t think it warrants the silly price ticket!!

Used to really love this pub, but it isn’t as good as it was since it has been done out/taken over. The prices are really expensive for the food you get. Soft drinks are served in long thin glasses meaning that there is less for your money. The lunch menu is somewhat limited – haven’t eaten here at night as I was so put off by the lunchtime menu. Drinks are expensive too. Overall the pub is lovely inside and is still the old black and white on the outside but it has lost that lovely country feel and is more like a trendy overpriced wine bar these days
