It’s one of those Mitchells and Butlers 'unique’ London pubs, with heavy floral wallpaper and fabrics, big statement lampshades, lots of arty handwriting on blackboards, Fruili, and a menu that includes a lot of gourmet burgers and handcut chips.
Having said that it’s a nice atmosphere, it’s clearly cared for by the owner, there are board games if you’re so inclined and a good selection of drinks. The food is better than it used to be, although when we visted yesterday the bread on the vegetarian sharing platter was moudly. Bar staff’s response: 'ooh, sorry about that. Get a shot of vodka or something’. Literally. Hence the star knocked off.

Pretty decent pub if you’re down that end of town. They (used to?) run a mean pub quiz every week and we were regular(winner)s. The food was pretty good - sort of fusion mediterranean with nice flat bread sharers, and a pretty decent roast. As mentioned, it’s great that they have fruli (fruity refreshing Belgian beer) and Leffe beers, and a few tables out the front for the smokers. It’s quite large but still cosy and the staff can be a little touch and go but in general I’ve always had a pretty good experience here - certainly worth the walk if you’re in Shepherd’s Bush.

Great local… it has a fresh young crowd and is newly renovated. But as the general rule goes, if you don’t expect too much, than you are never disappointed!

A pretty standard gastro-grotto type pub. Great pub quiz on a sunday, pretty rubbish food, decent drink range and a bizarrely inefficient bunch of confused but still likeable staff - but yet, still a decent boozer, and much better than most options on the goldhawk road. Has a bit of competition Queen adelaide and the defectors, so should probably have a bit of a rethink so it don’t get too yawnsome…

Leffe and Frulli on tap: WIN WIN. Really great pub, surviving sister to the now dead Eagle (Askew Road) that used to be so great. Only missing treat is a garden. There is an outside bit, but it is out the front.
Reasonably priced food, great atmosphere. Disagree that it is full of trendy yuppies. You get all sorts at this pub and with a good combo of soft and hard seating you can feel right at home. They do a fun Sunday pub quiz.
Good for chats with friends, cosy days, cosy evenings and when you just somewhere good to go and get hammered.

A fantastic pub with a wide range of drinks, and good reasonably priced food. Clientele is mostly trendy yuppies but avoids the pretentious atmosphere of many other posh places.
If the constant entertainment (Tuesdays and Thursdays are open mic nights, Sundays are pub quiz nights) isn’t enough, then a wide range of board games - Scrabble and the like - is also available to help pass the time away. Handy on a Saturday night in a lull in the conversation.
It’s my local and you can’t say better than that.

A relaxed local pub, lots of comfy couches and a pretty good selection of beer. The seating is nice as it allows for some cozy alcoves as well as larger tables and areas for groups. Outdoor seating is also a bonus.
Managed to get there on a live music night, which was mildly hilarious as the band members were probably all about 15. There are few things more funny than watching teenagers try to belt out “Mustang Sally” while forgetting most of the words…

Imagine my delight when finding out that my local was this wonderful pub. The Goldhawk is located on Goldhawk Road (surprise surprise) and in my opinion is the best place for a pint in the area. With Leffe on tap and a range of belgian beers, surprisingly strong ciders and fruity cocktails, there is something for everyone. I have yet to exhaust their drink selection (but I’m willing to give it a go).
They have a variety of food ranging from moroccan style nibbles to good old pub favourites. While away a couple of hours with a game of monopoly or scrabble on the bedouin-esque sofa’s. There is a fantastic roast on offer on a sunday. Also on a sunday, they have the popular quiz - get there early if you want a table.
This pub comes highly recommended, especially if you want a pub that is like an extention of your living room. Check it out.

This used to be my local pub so I have many fond memories of it! They have decently priced drinks and you can get some of the less common beers and ciders here, Belgian Strawberry beer for example. The food was always well prepared and quite delicious, not too pricey either, about £7-8 for a big main and around £5 for a lighter one. The interior is warm and cosy with dining tables as well as plush comfy couches. There is also a sitting area outside for summertime. The staff are always friendly but english is not their first language and there has been order confusion on more than one occasion, it is always resolved without much fuss but it means waiting twice as long. Quiz nights at the Goldhawk are always alot of fun otherwise go on Sunday for a tasty and filling roast.
