This is another branch of Waterstones that used to be an Ottakars until they were bought out. Set in the Glades shopping centre, I usually end up in here while waiting for my husband to finish trawling through Zavvi (formerly known as Virgin). This is a fairly sized branch of Waterstones, with a separate floor for children. The books are laid out well, especially when you first walk in and see the bestsellers on a wall with the 3 for 2 deals laid out in tables in the front as well, making it easy to browse for that quick selection of current reads, if that’s what you’re after.
They have recently re-arranged some of the sections in this branch, expanding the cookery section at the back, which I appreciate as it is a section I usually end up browsing the most! There is also a decent sized travel section as well as something for everyone really. I can easily spend a while looking around most sections of this bookstore, no matter how much time I have to spare.
